Quinnipiac’s semester program in Ireland, located at University College Cork, offers students the opportunity to complete university courses required for any major as well as participate in special classes designed to enhance their regular program of study.
The program takes full advantage of the spectacular setting in Cork, where much of traditional Irish culture, language and history has been preserved and often is celebrated in festivals dedicated to storytelling, music, dance and epic poetry.
University College Cork welcomes over 2,000 international students every year from more than 75 countries worldwide. Some come for a year or less as visiting students. University College Cork (UCC) has designed a range of programs and services to meet the needs of its international students. Students visit local businesses, theaters and historical or archaeological sites, as well as cultural sites that have made Cork City the European Cultural Capital of 2005.
Housing arrangements are taken care of by UCC Campus Accommodation. The aim is to provide "a home away from home" for Quinnipiac students. Campus accommodation are more than just a place to eat and sleep - they provide social, cultural and sporting outlets and the chance to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Quinnipiac students will have their own bedrooms and bathrooms and share a living area and kitchen with two or three other UCC students.
